Official Bayfront Blues Festival RV/Camper Parking at Spirit Mountain 

Due to contruction of the new arena and parking ramp, space for RV parking will be limited this year at the DECC during Bayfront Blues Festival. Additional space for RV parking has also been made available at Duluth's Spirit Mountain Recreation Area.  The mostly leveled, gravel lots are located in a wooded area just off the I-35 Spirit Mountain exit ramp.  MapQuest lists the travel time to Bayfront Park at 12 minutes. The site is considered primitive with no water or electrical hook-ups available. Units allowed are therefore limited to fully self-contained pull-behind campers, RV’s and motor homes. No tent camping is allowed. You may also call the Spirit Mountain Campground directly at 218-624-8544 or 800-642-6377 ext. 544 to see if space is still available at their regular campground. Fees at this location are based on the type of site reserved.

A complimentary sanitary dumping station with water tank re-fill is located at the Holiday Station Store situated directly on the frontage road leading to Spirit Mountain. The store also offers a full line convenience and grocery items.    

Each day a shuttle bus service will depart the lots at 11:00am, 12 noon & 1:00pm to bring guests to the festival. Each evening the shuttle will depart the festival at 9:00pm, 10:00pm & 11:00pm (8:00, 9:00 & 10:00 on Sunday) to return guests to the RV lot.  Additional parking for automobiles is available at no charge for registered guests who choose to bring one along but no golf carts or ATV’s may be used at the facility.

Additional instructions and agreements:

• Respectful quite times are between 12:00 midnight & 8:00 am.

• Registered guests of the Blues Fest RV lots are not permitted access to any other areas of the facility including the regular campground and its facilities as well as the chalet building and its parking areas.

• A dumpster will be available for guest use but please remember to follow a north woods tradition: “If I brought it in, I’ll take it out”.  

• The intent of this area is adult orientated and you must be at least 18 to register. Children are welcome with proper parental supervision. 

• Check-In begins no sooner then 12:00 noon on Thursday, 8/6.
Check-Out must be completed by 12:00 noon on Monday, 8/10

• No open camp or cooking fires permitted. Propane cook stoves are allowed.

• The City of Duluth, Spirit Mountain Recreation Area and Bayfront Blues Festival Inc. are not responsible for any liability to persons or property for any damages resulting from parking in this area.

The fee for each space is $25 per night which includes use of the daily shuttle service.  Although no advance confirmation or deposit is required, we ask that you complete our short, Request For Space email form linked below so that we may better prepare the facility. Payment will be collected upon your arrival at our entry gate registration & security RV. Due to the lack of electrical power and a reliable phone connection, credit cards cannot be accepted. Cash or personal/traveler checks only.
